Scotland’s housing market is more expensive than the UK average.
While prices in England and Wales have continued to fall since the global financial crisis, Scotland’s real estate market has been in the midst of a massive and rapid decline.
The median price of a house in Scotland is £1.1 million.
The country’s median price for a home is just £1,085,000, according to the Scottish Government.
That’s more than a 40% increase since the start of this year.
In the UK, the median price is £900,000.
According to the most recent figures, Scotland has lost nearly a third of its population since 2007.
