In the past, searching for a realtor in your home state could be difficult, especially if you live in an area with few other options.
But with a growing number of new listings popping up across the US, the search for a local realtor is becoming easier.
And if you’ve ever been looking for a potential home buyer, you’ll soon be able to find them.
“We have thousands of listings and agents in the region, so it’s easy to find the right realtor for your needs,” said Laura Roesler, president and CEO of Roeslers Real Estate.
In the past several months, more than 3,200 properties have been added to the National Association of Realtors’ listings platform, bringing the number of active listings for the real estate industry to nearly 16,000.
And with those numbers growing, it’s no surprise that a new market has arisen.
“There’s been a lot of interest in the area, but it hasn’t really been as well known as what it is now,” said Roeser.
“So a lot more people are being targeted by real estate agents, and there’s a lot that’s going on right now,” she added.
In 2018, the realtor market in Montana and Wyoming topped out at about 6,000 properties.
And while the listings are relatively small, Roesers believes that demand is there.
“People are looking for houses and they want to live in a safe place and they’re looking for property in a certain area, which is a really appealing thing,” she said.
Roeser said there are more than 40 real estate companies operating in the state, and the region is booming.
“Our real estate listings have increased by about 20 percent, which we’ve seen for many years in the past,” she noted.
“And there’s more and more agents that are coming into the market.
We have more listings now, which means more opportunities for people to search.”
As real estate prices continue to rise, more people seek out homes as their options expand.
But, with listings continuing to increase in many areas, it may take some time before the demand for realtors is there in many markets.
